Water Management

Water management is a vital piece to oil and gas operations. As the American basins mature, water has become one of the most important cornerstones of ESG performance and overall operational efficiency of E&P companies. BioCatters strives to help local operators meet their goals of fresh water supply and conservation, while offering produced water recycling consultations and services. 

In the Permian Basin BioCatters manages over 40 fresh water wells backed by two adjoining aquifers. The quality of fresh water provided from these wells is some of the softest in the region. The soft nature of this water source offers reduced costs to  oil and gas completions operations by reducing the amount of scale inhibitors or treatments needed for water utilization.  Working with neighboring land owners, Biocatters is dedicated to providing this beneficial water supply to any oil and gas operations in the area with a focus on economics that are advantageous to the end user and any land owners in between. 

With the rapid growth in produced water production, managing and recycling produced water is becoming a commonplace key to improving ESG and operational sustainability.  BioCatters has built and maintained a water service company named De Nora Neptune, a team of the industries most experienced members who have been recycling produced water since 2011.
