BioCatters is an investment and management group seeking and developing portfolio companies that embrace the promise and challenge of renewable fuels and energy sources.

Established in 2006, BioCatters embarked on a mission to infuse our company with the same vigor and passion exhibited by the “Texas Wildcatters” in their industry. Distinguishing itself through a commitment to Green and Bio technologies, the company embarked on its journey by appropriately naming itself BioCatters and delving into the exploration of renewable energy and fuels. The initial venture involved a large-scale solar farm in West Texas, contributing to the pioneering of the southern segments of the ERCOT grid and laying the foundation for the development of Wind and Solar energy sites across the region.

BioCatters continued its quest for sustainable fuels by forging international agreements with Brazilian Ethanol manufacturers. The aim was to identify a feedstock that could be cultivated and sustained in Texas, with the ultimate goal of setting up Ethanol plants within the state. Simultaneously, negotiations were initiated and extensive research conducted to explore feedstock options in the Biodiesel industry. The strategic vision included leveraging Texas coastal ports for feedstock storage and establishing plants for the production of renewable fuels.

The negotiations in the realm of renewable fuels culminated in BioCatters founding a Recycled Produce Water company. This innovative move aimed to offer the Oil and Gas industry an environmentally conscious alternative for reusing produced water, reducing the reliance on fresh water during hydraulic fracturing operations. Through these initiatives, BioCatters remained dedicated to its commitment to sustainable practices and the advancement of eco-friendly solutions within the energy sector.

The goals of BioCatters are to develop green sites that will contribute significantly to the transition toward a more sustainable and low-carbon energy landscape.
